Frequently asked questions
How do I sign up to volunteer?
DM us on Instagram (@grandcitizens) or message us on WhatsApp. We will add you to our volunteer group and assign you a role for the next available drive. No experience needed.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Grand Citizens is a community-organized initiative, not a registered NGO. Donations are treated as Sadaqah. We provide full transparency on how every rupee is spent, but cannot issue tax receipts at this time.
Can I donate from outside Pakistan?
Yes! International donors can contribute via Zelle or PayPal. DM us on Instagram or WhatsApp for transfer details. We also accept wire transfers for larger contributions.
When do iftaar drives happen?
Our drives run throughout Ramadan — typically 15+ drives in a single month. Grand Dastarkhwaans happen on weekends and key nights, while box distributions happen on weekdays. Follow us on Instagram for the latest schedule.
Can I sponsor an entire daig or drive?
Absolutely. One biryani daig costs approximately PKR 20,435 and feeds 67 people. You can sponsor one or multiple daigs, or even an entire Grand Dastarkhwaan. Contact us on WhatsApp to arrange.
